Wasn’t expecting to dance and paint this morning as I was in a break between Solar and Heart Chakradance weeks. However, after an empowering AWE woman’s circle guided by Jen Pearlman, my Cherokee name was revealed to me and I was guided to listen to songs and learn my ancestral language.
So I searched and found on YouTube the Cherokee Morning Song. The moment I heard the sound and saw the lyrics I began to cry. I danced to it. I sang it. And I painted. I usually paint metallics on black for Chakradance but was guided to use white instead. It wasn’t prepped, but that didn’t stop my intuitive creativity to start. With no picture in my head I was called to a green metallic and a strange shape. From there the blues build on top of each other and the green reflected a sandy peach on the white. Perfect for my name and the song lyrics. I love how the metallics make the water shimmer.
