This beautiful lapis necklace was created on Independence Day. I had picked out a pretty white eyelet dress and tomato red cardigan but didn’t have a blue necklace to tie the patriotic outfit together. So I decided to make one with a lapis cabochon I had in my jewelry supplies. In the photo, I am also wearing bracelets of carnelian, fire cherry quartz, selenite, dark rainbow tourmaline, dolomite and smokey quartz.
Wire wrapped Lapis pendant, lapis nugget and pyrite beads with gold filled wire valued at $155.
I’m so proud of the simplicity of the wire wrapping. I much prefer my crystal cabochons to be the main focus of my jewelry. There is so much beauty in nature’s own creations, I don’t want to hide them with unnecessary flourishes and weaves.
